Jake is 4

Jake is finally four.  He has been waiting for his birthday since Christmas!  He kept changing which cake he wanted and we finally pinned him down to the crocodile.  He thought it was cool.

Happy Birthday to you!

Jake couldn't wait till the party to open his presents.  He found them in my closet and hid in his room and opened all of them by himself.  Note to self (Just let him open them it's his b-day)

One of his favorite toys "triantula"  Thanks to all for the great                 presents. They were perfect.  He just loves all the Dinosaurs and cars.

Emily was so proud she picked this dragon out all by herself and he loved it.

"Freekin Awsome"

Jake and Emily's new word "Freekin Awsome"  That's what Jake called his new toy that he bought with all the money he got for going poo poo and pee pee on the potty. " Freekin Awsome" is the word that Mom and Dad use for finally succeeding in getting Jake potty trained. Wahoooo! Now we are working on trying to get out of going to Wendy's every time he goes poo on the potty.  We might still be going to Wendy's everyday, ten years later.

Bowling fun

We took the kids bowling at BYU last week and we found out that Jake is becoming quite the bowler.  They don't want to use the ramp anymore so they just throw it down the alley.  I cringe every time hoping the ball doesn't land on any toes.  Jake was beating us all after the third frame.  He was beating mom up until the 10th frame but she managed to redeem herself at the end.  Phew!

                                                               Emily gets her first spare

                                                         Evidence of Jakes greatness

                                                                       Jake gets a spare

There was a lot of fist pumping that I never could capture quite right on camera.

Golf get away

The end of Feb. we went on our Valentine's Day get away to golf in Saint George.  We also wanted to soak up some sun but the weather wasn't cooperating.  The rain stopped just in time for our Tee time.  A little damp but not too cold.  The golf was good for the first round of the year.  The next day was sunny and beautiful but we had to get back and be responsible!  Thanks to the Welburns for watching our kids.  They had fun and are still talking about all the fun things they got to do.  Emily says she'd like to live at their house.
