summer fun/cousins

Manhattan Beach 

This was a favorite during our California Trip.  Playing with Cousins on the first warm day ever for my kids at the beach.  The kids got tired of me spraying them with sun screen every hour.  We miss our Peterson cousins.  Thanks for spending the day with us!

Aunt Terri made Abby a Little Mermaid

Emily ventured out pretty far keeping up with Trey.  She just needs to remember to close her mouth so she doesn't swallow the salt water.  Yuck!

Summer fun / Aunt Terri

Visit Aunt Terri

Pillow fights with uncle Toe are the best, cross that off our summer list.

 Fun at the pool.  Mom loves it when she can watch and take pictures from Aunt Terri's balcony

 Uncle Toe is so much fun. Mom didn't want to go to the pool as soon as we got there so Uncle Toe volunteered to take them because he needed some exercise.  I think he got his work out in that day throwing the kids across the pool.

 The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. Uncle toe is so strong!

Emmy spent forever trying to sit on the bottom of the pool.  Here she is trying to do it by pushing down on her head.  She just has the hardest time getting off the top of the water.  I think she finally did it before the end of the week.  Yahoo!

Summer Fun /Park

Aunt Jill has the best parks by her house.

After Tommy showed Jake how to climb to the top, Jake had to do it too.  Talk about a heart attack.  I couldn't breathe while he was climbing.  It was a long way down and I was scared to death he was going to fall.  So happy when he was back down again. He was in heaven though.

So much fun at a new park, especially when it with your cousins.

Summer fun /mini golf

Mini Golf

Grandma Due took us miniature golfing.  We use to go to this place in Riverside called "Castle Park" when we were kids so it was fun to share this tradition with our kids here in Utah.  Grandma tried to keep score but with these kids it was more like speed golf.  Score was not a concern.

   

Grandma ended up with 2 hole in ones.

The boys didn't spend to much time on one hole, they were too excited to see what was next.

Sam's putter was a little too long but he made it work and had lots of fun.

Batting cages! Jake was excited until he couldn't hit any pitches and then was a little upset.  I think he was just to small for the machine to pitch it in the right spot.  Better luck next time.

 I was surprised that Emily hit a few.  Way to go Ems.

 

Even Grandma hit a few.  I thought she was going to break her hand again or something else.  She kept standing in the wrong spot.  I thought for sure she was going to get hit by the ball.  She was lucky that day.

Family golf at Canyon Hills.  Jake is a natural.  Emmy is getting better and loves spending quality time with her Dad.
