Easter fun

We went to California for Easter.  If I want to see my sister all I have to do is ask Devo if he wants to go golfing and We're there. (it helps when it snowing in Ut).  Devo and Troy went golfing and Terri and I did some community things with the kids since it was too cold for the beach.  We stopped in Vegas for Sunday dinner and had fun with Gma and Gpa skinny and Ryan, Kim, and family.  The kids are still talking about wrestling with Daddy and Uncle Ryan with Kate and Jack.

Jake was excited about seeing the Easter Bunny!  High five man

Thanks for all the fun Aunt Terri!

Right after our fun around town Sat.  morning Emily had another hard to breathe episode.  We rushed her to urgent care.  When Emily threw up all over Aunt Terri and the front desk we were able to get the quick attention needed. Her o2 levels were in the low 80's again.  The doctor freaked us out by saying he was calling 911 for the ambulance.  He quickly gave her some o2 and a breathing treatment and she was a little better so we didn't get to ride in an ambulance. He sent us to the ER and her o2 levels were fine.  They were really busy so the Dr. gave us some drugs and we got to go home.  Through it all Emily just wanted to go home so she could color Easter eggs.

Jake loved everything in his basket especially the glow in dark dinos

Emily loved the movie and Fun Dip!

We made the kids wait till Aunt Terri got back from church for the Easter egg hunt.  They scoped out all the ones they could see from the back door until she got home.

Devo's New Toy

This is what happens when Devo has time off and he can't golf.  Too much time on the internet!
After 13 years of marriage I just got tired of saying no!

The kids think it is pretty cool.  They can't wait for a real ride.  Mom will never get a ride because she won't wear the required attire.

Jake is 4

Jake is finally four.  He has been waiting for his birthday since Christmas!  He kept changing which cake he wanted and we finally pinned him down to the crocodile.  He thought it was cool.

Happy Birthday to you!

Jake couldn't wait till the party to open his presents.  He found them in my closet and hid in his room and opened all of them by himself.  Note to self (Just let him open them it's his b-day)

One of his favorite toys "triantula"  Thanks to all for the great                 presents. They were perfect.  He just loves all the Dinosaurs and cars.

Emily was so proud she picked this dragon out all by herself and he loved it.

"Freekin Awsome"

Jake and Emily's new word "Freekin Awsome"  That's what Jake called his new toy that he bought with all the money he got for going poo poo and pee pee on the potty. " Freekin Awsome" is the word that Mom and Dad use for finally succeeding in getting Jake potty trained. Wahoooo! Now we are working on trying to get out of going to Wendy's every time he goes poo on the potty.  We might still be going to Wendy's everyday, ten years later.

Bowling fun

We took the kids bowling at BYU last week and we found out that Jake is becoming quite the bowler.  They don't want to use the ramp anymore so they just throw it down the alley.  I cringe every time hoping the ball doesn't land on any toes.  Jake was beating us all after the third frame.  He was beating mom up until the 10th frame but she managed to redeem herself at the end.  Phew!

                                                               Emily gets her first spare

                                                         Evidence of Jakes greatness

                                                                       Jake gets a spare

There was a lot of fist pumping that I never could capture quite right on camera.

Golf get away

The end of Feb. we went on our Valentine's Day get away to golf in Saint George.  We also wanted to soak up some sun but the weather wasn't cooperating.  The rain stopped just in time for our Tee time.  A little damp but not too cold.  The golf was good for the first round of the year.  The next day was sunny and beautiful but we had to get back and be responsible!  Thanks to the Welburns for watching our kids.  They had fun and are still talking about all the fun things they got to do.  Emily says she'd like to live at their house.

Lots of Valentine's Day Love

We received lots of Valentines from far away places.  The kids loved checking the mail to look for Packages.  Aunt Terri's was the first to arrive.  Jake loved his dinosaur and strong man made of pipe cleaners and of course the candy was gone in about an hour.  Thanks Aunt Terri We love ya.

Grandma and Grandpa Skinny sent money for, of course, ice cream. yum yum.  Can't wait to spend it.  Thanks!

We love our Peterson cousins in Tuscon.  Thanks for all the fun goodies.  We sure miss ya.
